The Hebrew scrolls were discovered by accident. As you know, the Turkish authorities turned the temple into a mosque. During prayer, one of the Muslims drew attention to the damage to the wall – a chipped stone about 10×30 cm in size.
He reported his observation to the authorities, after which a bag containing five parchment scrolls was found in the doorway. The text is written in Hebrew, and it is not yet clear whether the find should be considered historical artifacts.
