The woman’s body was found on the morning of September 1 in a house located in Ano Poli (Kyparissia), which “put on their feet” all the police in Messinia.
According to the ERT channel, the owners of the house, which rented it for living, noticed a different color of the cement, which piqued their curiosity. During the “excavation” they found a terrible find – the body of a woman.
Reportedly, 42-year-old Romanian Monica Gius (Μόνικα Γκιους), who went missing last February, lived in this house some time ago, before leaving for Romania. Based on the above fact, there is good reason to believe that the found remains belong to her.
According to preliminary data, the woman has lived in Kyparissia for 20 years and has been wanted since the beginning of 2021.
The place where the corpse was found was cordoned off by the Cyparissia police officers awaiting a medical examiner.
