Vaccination rate in Greece by age category

Greece surpassed 11 million vaccinations on Monday 16 August, according to a statement by the secretary general of the primary health care service, Marios Themistokleous.

Today 30,000 vaccinations are expected. Weekly appointments averaged about 23,000 per day, while 72,000 citizens have made new appointments over the past 10 days for the first vaccination, the secretary general of primary health care added.

Vaccination rates by age group are as follows:

According to Mr. Temistokleous: “Regarding home vaccination, 5,274 people have announced their participation in the program, and 4,000 people have already been vaccinated. More than 10,000 residents of remote areas have also been vaccinated. There are special campaigns for vaccination against Covid-19 of special groups of the population such as the Roma, the homeless and immigrants. “
