Vaccination rate in Greece by age category

Greece surpassed 11 million vaccinations on Monday 16 August, according to a statement by the secretary general of the primary health care service, Marios Themistokleous.

Today 30,000 vaccinations are expected. According to Mr. Themistocleous during a briefing on the national Covid-19 vaccination plan in our country, more than 5,850,000 people have been vaccinated with at least one dose, which is 55.6% of the total population and 65% of the adult population. More than 5,515,000 citizens completed the vaccination, which is 52.5% of the total population and 61.6% of the adult population.

Weekly appointments averaged about 23,000 per day, while 72,000 citizens have made new appointments over the past 10 days for the first vaccination, the secretary general of primary health care added.

Vaccination rates by age group are as follows:

85 years and older 72.1% have already been vaccinated with at least one dose, and if we calculate the prescribed appointment for the second, then this is 72.3%. 80-84 years old, 72.3% have already been vaccinated, together with the prescribed second dose, this is 72.5%. 75-79 years old, 84.4% have already been vaccinated, and if you count the appointments, then this is 84.5%. 70-74 years old, 78.7% have already been vaccinated, and if you count the appointments, then this is 78.9%. 65-69 years old, 80.1% have already been vaccinated, with appointments this is 80.2%. 60-64 years old, 75.9% have already been vaccinated, with appointments this is 76.2%. 55-59 years old 72.8% are already vaccinated, with appointments 73.1%. from 50 to 54 years old, 69.3% have already been vaccinated, and if you count the appointments, then this is 69.7%. 45-49 years old – 66.1% are already vaccinated, with appointments 66.6%. 40-44 years old 61% are vaccinated, with appointments 61.6%. 35-39 years old, 53.6% are vaccinated, and if you count the appointments, then this is 54.2%. 30-34 years old, 51.7% are vaccinated, and if you count the appointments, then this is 52.5%. 25-29 years old – 50%, and if you count the appointments, then this is 50.9%. 18-24 years old 39.4% have already been vaccinated with at least one dose, and if you count the appointments, then this is 40.5%. 15-17 years old were vaccinated with at least one dose of 11.1%, and taking into account the appointments – 12.6%. 12 to 14 years old are vaccinated 3%, and if you calculate the records, that’s 4%.

According to Mr. Temistokleous: “Regarding home vaccination, 5,274 people have announced their participation in the program, and 4,000 people have already been vaccinated. More than 10,000 residents of remote areas have also been vaccinated. There are special campaigns for vaccination against Covid-19 of special groups of the population such as the Roma, the homeless and immigrants. “
