In Attica, Peloponnese, Evia and Phthiotida, engineers from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport are conducting inspections in areas affected by fire.
Until yesterday, 940 surveys of the affected properties were carried out. Most of them are in Attica – 539. There were also inspected 257 buildings in Evia, 67 in Ilia, 20 in Messinia, 45 in Laconia and 12 in the municipality of Lokra.
So far, reports show that 204 of the 692 homes tested are uninhabitable. Another 235 were found to be temporarily unusable due to the need for repairs.
58 surveys of professional premises were carried out: 29 were found temporarily unsuitable and 18 dangerous for use. Of the 182 warehouses / stalls tested, 67 are temporarily unusable and 98 unsafe for use.
It should be noted that at present, as the firefighting is still ongoing, no intensive inspections have been carried out in the municipalities of Mantudi and Istia-Edipsos in Evia.
