Australian wanted by Interpol arrested in Mykonos

Narcotics police arrested the 39-year-old Australian, who is on the Interpol’s most wanted list, on Wednesday at the Mykonos airport.

According to police, the man in the United States is charged as a member of the international drug business, involved in the import and trade of cocaine, as well as money laundering.

This person is featured in Interpol’s “red notice”, which is a request to law enforcement agencies around the world to locate and temporarily arrest a person pending extradition, extradition or similar legal action.

The arrest was carried out by the Attica Security Police Drug Investigation Directorate with the assistance of the local police.

The detainee is expected to be brought before the prosecutor today.
