The rapist coerced the victim into sex by blackmail

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in Crete on charges of seducing a 14-year-old girl and then forcing her to meet him again through blackmail.

A farmer in Kissamos was handcuffed by police as he allegedly seduced a teenage girl and then forced her to meet again, blackmailing her by filming their sexual encounter. The attacker, according to the case file, met the minor and initially began to communicate through messages. In the end, he made sure that “in reality” the girl met him. Thus, the teenager ended up at his home, where everything happened.

However, when the girl realized everything that was happening, she decided not to date an adult man anymore. In turn, he threatened her that “he recorded everything on video,” saying that “if she wants to keep what happened in secret, they will have to see each other again.”

As the edition zarpanews.gr writes, “suppression of her will” and contact with an adult man continued for some time. Finally, one day the girl told him that she no longer wanted to see him and that she would tell her parents and the police. Then the man allegedly pulled out a pistol and aimed at her.

At the disposal of law enforcement agencies, there were also testimonies of other victims of a man, young girls with whom he tried to establish a relationship. The police believe that there is a serious likelihood that the attacker’s actions were aimed at a wider circle of young women, while it is possible that he was dating younger girls (minors). The local resident probably acted in other prefectures of Crete.

The crimes cited in the case file include: serial rape, making and possessing child pornography materials, recruiting children for consecutive sexual purposes, and persistent violation of sexual dignity.

There have also been reports of violations of gun and drug laws, as well as threats and attempts at blackmail.
