Mexico City: the span of a huge bridge collapsed along with the train carriages

According to media reports, the metro bridge collapsed in the Mexican capital along with the train on it.

The mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Scheinbaum, said on Twitter that she had already left for the crash site:

“I am heading to the scene on line 12, inform on arrival.”

The photographs from the scene show that among the wreckage of the collapsed bridge there are 2 train cars. The incident took place in the area of ​​Olivos and Tesonco stations, in the southeastern part of the Mexican capital.

It is not yet known why the metro bridge collapsed. There is also no information about the victims. At the moment, the media report about fifty victims.
