Reinforced police squads arrived in a Roma settlement located in Nomizmatokopio (Chalandri, Athens) to restore order in connection with the identified violations of quarantine measures.
The Gypsy settlement has been surrounded (blocked) since yesterday, Saturday, April 10, as there has been a sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases over the past five days. The strict restrictive measures are in effect from 6:00 pm Saturday April 10th to 6:00 am Monday 19th April.
As of this morning, reinforced police squads are in the camp area to ensure that residents who are prohibited from crossing the established borders can go outside the limits solely for health reasons.
