The missing Romanian Monica Gius, as everything shows, belongs to a corpse, which was accidentally found “cemented” in the courtyard of a house in Ano Poli, Cyparissia.
According to the ERT channel, based on preliminary data from a forensic medical examination, the remains, found on Tuesday in the courtyard of the house, belong to a woman about 40 years old, height 1.60 m, whose death occurred 5-6 months ago.
The corpse was found in a highly decomposed state, for this reason it is still difficult to establish the cause of death. Authorities took samples and sent them for forensic examinations, including DNA testing, to determine if this was the body of 42-year-old Monica Gius.
Recently, her roommate, a compatriot from Romania, lived in this house.
Chronicle of extinction
Monica Gius has lived in the area for the past 20 years and worked as a cleaner, but recently (during the pandemic) she lost her job and suffered from health problems. She suddenly disappeared in February 2021, but her relatives only found out about it 4 months later.
According to the TV program for the search for the missing “Light in the Tunnel”, the woman became a victim of domestic violence by her ex-husband, the father of her three children, and later a roommate. Her eldest son, who lives in Britain, said that once “this man” sent her to the hospital because he broke his arm during the next “showdown at home.”
When Monica disappeared, the man told some of his friends that he would leave for Romania in search of a better job. After about 6 months, a terrible find was discovered. The Greek authorities are continuing their investigation.
