Pyrgos is the center of attention of the press and public. A six-year-old girl was reportedly admitted to a city hospital due to excessive drinking.
According to the mother, the child “slipped” out of sight of the adults and found an open bottle of wine. The girl drank a certain amount of alcohol, lost consciousness and was taken by ambulance to a medical facility.
Doctors reported the incident to the police and the minor's mother was arrested. Doctors monitor the child's health. The prognosis looks encouraging: everything suggests that the girl will be discharged within 24 hours.
The Greek media reported details of what happened. In particular, it was noted that “a six-year-old girl was taken to the pediatric clinic of Pyrgos Hospital after she drank too much wine at 16:45 on Monday, April 8, with symptoms of acute intoxication.”
