Today, February 28, at 10:00 am, memorial bells will ring throughout Greece for those killed in Tempi.
They will be heard in the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and the Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece, at the request of the President of the Association of Relatives of Tempi Victims, Maria Karistianou, 57 times, one for each life lost.
Upon request, the Holy Synod of the Greek Church informed all churches in Greece about this initiative in a statement. Ms. Karistianu wrote in her post:
“The bell will ring to cleanse the souls of the innocent, to remember our responsibilities in life. We hope for the Resurrection and Resurrection.”
