Heavy rains, storms and hail hit Chios as bad weather swept across the Greek island.
The Campos area suffered significant damage, reaching 100% crop destruction. The hail, as seen in photographs published on the websites politischios.gr and alithia.gr, reaches a terrifying size.
At the same time, the island’s roads look as if they were covered with snow.
According to agricultural producers, the citrus crop was damaged by hail and ended up on the ground. Farmers are asked to submit a claim to ELGA for compensation for damage caused by bad weather.
