A 23-year-old tourist from Russia became a victim of a shark in Egyptian Hurghada, the predator even ate his remains.
Everything happened so quickly that the locals who tried to help the man on the boat did not have time to get him. The tragic incident took place on June 5 at Dream Beach. Eyewitnesses filmed the last minutes of his life.
The Russian TG channel Mash, citing the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported that the deceased was 23-year-old Vladimir Popov from Arkhangelsk. The publication writes:
“According to our information, the guy had his own IP. He lived in Balashikha near Moscow, worked as a freelance illustrator.”
Now all the beaches in the resort town are closed. The Egyptian Maritime Police warns that being in the water is dangerous.
The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada urged compatriots to remain vigilant in the water and follow the bans of local authorities on swimming and diving.
