A student march and a silent protest are planned for today in the center of the Greek capital.
“We mourn the unjust loss of dozens of young people, we want to know the truth,” – under this slogan, an event will be held in Athens on the afternoon of March 3 – a silent protest action. The organization “Solidarity for All” (“Αλληλεγγύη για Όλους”) announced its participation, its statement reads:
“We are experiencing an indescribable tragedy, we mourn the unjust death of dozens, mostly young people, we ask for the truth. We are participating in a silent protest on March 3, 2023 at Syntagma at 19:00.”
The Athens Student Coordinating Committee invites all students and teachers to take part in the mobilization in memory of the victims of the Tempi tragedy. The gathering will take place today, Friday, March 3, at 12:00 in the Propylaea. There is a call for similar rallies in other Greek cities.
The student coordinating committee of the capital of Greece expresses “deepest condolences to the families of the victims and hopes that the victims will recover soon.” The ad says, quotes newsbeast.gr:
“Anyone could be on this train and each of us, our brothers, our friends. We feel only anger and sadness for the dozens of victims, for their families.”
