€200 voucher: new round of subsidizing laptops, tablets and other devices

In the very near future, the platform will be restarted to provide a voucher in the amount of 200 euros to citizens as a subsidy for the purchase of laptops, tablets and other devices.

This is the “Digital Care II” program, which was provided for in the amendment of the Ministry of Education, introduced in January last year to the bill of the Greek Ministry of Development, reports iefimerida.gr.

200 euro voucher: report on the first program

The first Digital Care program, represented by a €200 voucher, received more than 293,000 applications, with 506,152 €200 vouchers issued.

The beneficiaries of the subsidy showed the greatest interest in tablets, as 262,072 vouchers were used in this category of goods. Please note that you can use from one to three checks per device purchase. Next in beneficiary preference are laptops with 105,171 redeemed vouchers and “traditional” desktops with 18,270 redeemed checks.

Beneficiaries of the new (second) program will receive a voucher for 200 euros

A few days ago, the Government Gazette published information that the exact start date of the €200 voucher program will be announced soon. The beneficiaries of the €200 grant will be mainly public sector educators (teaching staff, special teaching staff and special support staff) who are in Greece or are absent (absence recorded in their accommodation) for a specific reason provided for in Article 4 of the relevant provisions of the Ministerial Decree.

Please note that on teachers who apply for a voucher of 200 euros are not subject to the provision of income criteria.

Families of fire victims can also be recipients of the subsidy. In particular, the Government Gazette indicates that the potential recipients of the voucher are families with dependent members aged 4 to 24 years old, studying at one of the levels of education that meet the requirements of the program, with the main place of residence in areas affected by fires in calendar 2021 year.

Which areas affected by the fire are included in the subsidy

In determining the areas affected by fires, the following demarcation decisions and the respective municipalities, municipalities and municipal communities mentioned therein are taken into account:

I. According to DAEFK-KE/13665/Α325/17.08.2021 (Β΄3863) the decision to delimit the territories

a) Achaia Regional Unit of the Region of Western Greece,

b) Regional unit of East Attica Region of Attica?

c) Regional unit of the northern sector of Athens in the region of Attica.

II. According to DAEFK-KE / 13975 / Α325 / 20.08.2021 (Β΄3898) the decision to delimit the territories

a) Evia Regional Unit of Central Greece Region,

b) The regional unit of the Phocis region of Central Greece,

c) the regional unit Phthiotis of the region of Central Greece.

III. According to DAEFK-KE/13758/Α325/20.08.2021 (ΒΔ 3905) the decision to delimit the territories

a) Achaia Regional Unit of Western Greece Region,

b) Regional Units of Messinia, Arcadia, Laconia of the Peloponnese region,

c) the regional subdivision of Ilia of the region of Western Greece.

To confirm the location of the main place of residence of the beneficiary within the above geographical limits, the data of the income declaration (E1) for the 2020 tax year are taken into account.

c) της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Φθιώτιδας της Περιφέρειας Στερεάς Ελλάδας.

iii. Υπό στοιχεία Δ.Α.Ε.Φ.Κ.-Κ.Ε/13758/Α325/20.08.2021 (Β΄ 3905) απόφαση οριοθέτησης περιοχών

α) της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Αχαΐας της Περιφέρειας Δυτικής Ελλάδας,

β) των Περιφερειακών Ενοτήτων Μεσσηνίας Αρκαδίας

c) της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Ηλείας της Περιφέρειας Δυτικής Ελλάδας.

Για την επιβεβαίωση της χωροθέτησης της κύριας κατοικίας Δικαιούχου εντός των ως άνω γεωγραφικών ορίων, λαμβάνονται υπόψη στοιχεία από τη δήλωση φορολογίας εισοδήματος (Ε1) του φορολογικού έτους 2020.
