The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece received a letter from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on security issues.
This was reported by TASS last night with reference to the Russian diplomatic mission. The embassy said:
“Today the Greek Foreign Ministry handed over the text of a message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.”
Earlier, Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian Federation is sending a request to NATO and the OSCE to clarify whether they intend to fulfill key security commitments:
“Today, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we are sending an official request to our colleagues in the countries of the Alliance and the OSCE with an urgent demand to explain how they intend to fulfill the obligation not to strengthen their security at the expense of the security of others. If they do not intend to, then explain why. This will be a key issue in determining our further proposals, which we will report to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
