Spaniard Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia, the oldest man in the world, has died at the age of 112 years and 341 days.
Before his 113 years, the man did not live only a few weeks, according to January 18 on the official website of the Guinness Book of Records:
“Guinness World Records is saddened that Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia died at his home at the age of 112 years and 341 days.”
The Spaniard received his title in September 2021, when he turned 112 years and 211 days old. On February 8 this year, he was supposed to turn 113 years old.
Saturnino was born in 1909 in Spain, in the city of Leon. Having a small height, only 1.50 meters, he did not participate in the civil war and worked all his life as a shoemaker, opening his own business.
Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia and his wife Antonina are survived by 7 daughters, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
