According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, a strong earthquake hit Antikythera. Seismic vibration was assessed by him at 5.4 points on the Richter scale.
The first data from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute indicate a vibration of magnitude 5.6.
The focal depth was 38 km. The epicenter was located 21 km northwest of Antikythera.
The earthquake data was obtained by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Institute using an automated computer system, without the participation of a seismologist, and is constantly updated.
