The prisoner asked to use the toilet and escaped from custody

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, April 13th. The inmate asked to be taken to the restroom and escaped right from under the noses of the Athens Police Department.

Operations are currently underway to locate and arrest a 20-year-old man who escaped from the GADA City Police Department. According to ΕΛ.ΑΣ., the young man asked to use the toilet, but suddenly pushed the police officer accompanying him away and disappeared.

Police are investigating the blatant incident.

I would like to note that this became possible in the metropolitan police department, where the bullpen are located from the 6th to the 8th floor. How did the criminal manage to get out of control and escape without being noticed? Probably with those who guarded and accompanied him, interdepartmental “showdown” is still ahead.

We will remind, as “Russian Athens” wrote earlier, the inspection of the General Police Department of Athens GADA by the authorized services of the Greek health organization plunged the inspectors into shock. The report says there is “rubbish and cockroaches!”

The National Health Service inspectors describe the situation at the Attica General Police Headquarters (Γενικής Αστυνομικής Διεύθυνσης Αττικής, GADA) in the darkest tones, as they discovered “tragic conditions that pose a threat to the health of police officers and detainees.”

In the report, the auditors, in fact, describe that there was some kind of rubbish lying everywhere in the corridors. In addition, a dump of bags, paper, plastic bottles and coffee cups was set up in the management garage. (Perhaps because there was simply no trash can there?).

In the toilets on the ground floor, the inspectors found that there was no ventilation, but it was noted that some cleaning was carried out here from time to time.

A whole “mountain” of garbage was also seen at the entrance to the detention facility: plastic containers with leftovers, cups, etc. Here, in the corridor, the trash bins were overfilled so that the garbage could no longer fit in them and lay on the floor. “All this contributes to the breeding of cockroaches, and creates an unhealthy and unsightly environment that threatens the health of both the employees of the Office and the detainees,” the inspectors said.

The Sanitary Inspection Commission commented and provided guidance on the most effective remedy for the identified violations: “Toilets, stairwells, garages and places of detention must be cleaned up. All rooms must be thoroughly cleaned and kept clean on a regular basis. and in proper form. “

This state of affairs was discovered back in 2019. It is not known whether order has been restored there so far. Maybe the criminal pretended to be a glass of coffee, or was he mistaken for a cockroach? And so, among the mountains of garbage, he managed to slip unnoticed?
