Last night, November 27, shortly before 22:00, a group of hooded young men attacked the Acropolis police station with Molotov cocktails.
Five Molotov cocktails thrown by them damaged the facade of the building, no one was injured. After the attack, a large group fled to the Filopappou Hill area.
The police blocked off the area, looking for criminals in the alleyways. As of late Saturday evening, 7 people were arrested, according to newsit.gr. The police continue to search for the attackers in the area.
The attack on the police station may well be related to the incident near the Acropolis last Thursday. In this area there was a group of schoolchildren from Pangrati who had come on an excursion. At some point, three of them, 15-year-olds, separated from the rest and dropped out of sight of the teachers. However, it ended sadly.
The schoolchildren were beaten and robbed by a gang of minors, who immobilized them with a screwdriver, beat them and, taking their phones, fled. Bloody teenagers were left lying on the ground.
The victims wrote a statement to the Acropolis police station, on the basis of which law enforcement officers began to search for criminals.
