The mystery of the sudden cancellation of Mitsotakis's visit to the USA – was it related to Predator?

With the sudden cancellation of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' visit to the United States on April 4, many questions are being raised about the reasons.

For the first time, the visit of a Greek prime minister to the United States was announced by the American ambassador, but, nevertheless, it was canceled suddenly and unexpectedly, which raises natural questions whether this is somehow connected with Predator. That the cancellation was due to Greek dissatisfaction with the US, an excuse that was used, leaked out but convinced almost no one.

It all started with a statement from the American Ambassador to Greece, Georgios Tsounis, who mentioned in his speech that On April 4, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will arrive in Washington, to meet Joe Biden as part of commemorative events organized at the White House to mark the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.

Without any serious explanation, the meeting was canceled

In fact, the government explained the cancellation by saying that the New Democracy congress was to take place on the same days. In other words, we were told that for the sake of the New Democracy convention, the Greek Prime Minister said “no” to a meeting with the American President!

Subsequently, a narrative emerged of the Greek community being “angry” because Kyriakos Mitsotakis passed a law for “married” LGBTQ+ people to be able to adopt children.

But here is Archbishop AlfagotfoRos, the archbishop of America, recently refused to comment on what is happening in Greece in connection with this law. If the head of the Greek Church in the USA, who 2 years ago personally married gays in Athens (photo above) avoids expressing his position on this issue, how much could this worry Orthodox Christians in the USA? Apparently he has already been given an impartial point of view on this.

Why then was the Prime Minister's visit cancelled?

It should be recalled here that, as the “Athens News” wrote earlier, The United States has subpoenaed Predator creator T. Dilian and everyone associated with Intellexa SA. And the first to worry about this development was the Mitsotakis government, which bought the illegal software and not only limited itself to it, but also authorized its export to authoritarian regimes – Ukraine, Madagascar and Sudan.

“Athens News” commented on the situation, noting that the United States has passed a law that will even ban the entry of all those who are in one way or another connected with this company, incl. and officials. What does this mean in practice? This means that at any moment even Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis could be banned from entering the United States!

When and how can this happen

In the event of the election of Donald Trump, when he wants to respond to the “laughter” of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Davos at the sound of his name. Or they could threaten him with a travel ban, which of course would mean the automatic fall of any Greek government. Does this mean that the visit was canceled for this reason?

What is certain is that Americans (and the Biden administration) are very disappointed with Mitsotakis. Perhaps there was no talk of a ban on entry into the country, but the dissatisfaction was so strong that the Prime Minister decided not to continue the visit in order to avoid exposure through “bad” images. However, the cancellation of the visit clearly meant that the United States was “not happy.”

Let us recall the main reason why Americans are so angry actions of the Mitsotakis government. In early February, the United States confirmed that its officials were caught by Predator wiretaps in Greece during conversations between Greeks and government officials.

In February, Greece's National Intelligence Service tried to justify that the targets of the wiretapping were Greek officials and not American diplomats, but their responses and data were recorded, and even brought to the attention of a party that should not have received it. This means that the company's servers Intellexa SA were hacked by foreign intelligence agenciesand their data with compromising information on Greek politicians, officials and businessmen leaked, probably, to Russia or China.

The United States believes that on this planet only they have the right to eavesdrop on everyone and everything, and they were extremely offended. After all, what is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the bull.
