Nuclear alarm in Poland from the strike of the Russian hypersonic missile X-47 “Dagger”

Damage to natural gas storage facilities, combined with the destruction of power generation and distribution systems, means that Ukraine is facing an extremely difficult period in the energy sector.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report reported that Russian troops used 40 Shahed-type kamikaze drones for the night attack, 37 of which were shot down, emphasizing that the information was being clarified. The report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also states that over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched eight missiles across Ukraine and carried out 93 air strikes.

Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk also reported about 40 drones that attacked Ukraine, according to his calculations, Russian troops fired a total of 42 missiles of various types, including Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched and “Daggers”. Oleschuk also writes about shelling from S-300 systems, according to representatives of the authorities of the Kharkov region, whom quotes “Suspilne”: it was from them that the administrative center of the region was struck. According to Oleschuk, they managed to shoot down 18 missiles.

Attacks on gas storage facilities

A total of eight MiG-31 fighters with Kinzhal and Kh-101 launchers took part in the attack and hit the gas storage facility, causing a mushroom cloud similar to a nuclear one that was visible from Poland, located 100 km from the border with Ukraine. Poland reportedly scrambled a flight of F-16 fighters “due to the increased activity of Russian long-range aviation”, Air Force Command reported.

The storage facilities are located at a depth of 50 meters from the surface of the earth, which, according to speakers of the Russian Aerospace Forces, did not prevent the Kinzhal from passing through the rocky soil and exploding in the storage facility! In Poland, radiation measurements were started after it was initially suspected of a nuclear attack, which, fortunately, was not confirmed.

Now Ukraine has less than half of its gas reserves left, and after the destruction of the storage facility, it cannot even supply it to the European market. The fact of an attack on an underground gas storage facility was confirmed by the Ukrainian company Naftogaz. The company indicated that the storage facilities continue to operate. “Specialists are engaged in eliminating the consequences of the shelling. Fortunately, the employees were not injured,” the company said in a statement.

Several regions of Ukraine were subjected to a Russian attack at once; arrivals were recorded at large energy facilities

On the morning of April 11, Ukrainian media reported that infrastructure facilities in four regions were damaged in Ukraine.
