The funeral of 28-year-old Kyriaki Griva, who was killed by her ex-partner near the Ag police station on Monday evening (1/4) was held in an atmosphere of deep sorrow and sadness. Anargyros.
The funeral took place at noon on April 4 at the Church of Agios Nektarios in Ano Liosia, where relatives and friends came to say goodbye to the girl who died so unjustly at the hands of her 39-year-old ex-boyfriend. Ordinary people also rushed to the church, who, clutching flowers in their hands, wanted to see off the unfortunate girl who had become a victim of an abuser on her last journey.
Kiriaki was brutally killed almost on the threshold of the police station, where she turned for help (to be protected from the persecution of the guy with whom she broke up 5 years ago). At the police station, the girl was “advised” to call 100 (the police emergency call service). And when she, talking with the operator, left the door of the station, her ex-boyfriend, who was waiting nearby, attacked and inflicted 5 stab wounds. The girl died on the spot.
Kiriaki Griva was buried, as is customary in the case of the death of unmarried young girls, in her wedding dress. Relatives and friends burst into tears at the white coffin. At this time, the killer, with strict security measures, was brought to the investigator.
