Velopoulos in Parliament: "Don't laugh – I lost a friend in Tempi"

Greek Solution President Kyriakos Velopoulos took to the podium of parliament and attacked New Democracy MPs participating in the plenary session, calling them “thick-skinned” for their handling of the Tempi massacre.

He said he lost his friend in this tragedy. At the same time, he urged people to go to the polls to bring justice to the souls who died in Tempi. “You won't laugh when I say I lost a friend in Tempe,” he told the New Democracy audience. You lie in the temple of democracy. Let's go to the polls and get justice for the 57 souls in Tempe…

This performance took place during the events that began on Tuesday, March 26 debate over a vote of no confidence in the government, filed by PASOK President Nikos Androulakis. The debate is expected to last three days, ending with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaking on Thursday afternoon, followed by a roll-call vote.

According to the rules of procedure and the constitution, a vote of no confidence is accepted only if it receives absolute majority of votes, that is, at least 151 “for”otherwise it is rejected, and the right to propose a new vote of no confidence is taken away for six months.

The opposition has virtually no chance of this.
