Forced landing on Rhodes (video)

A Lufthansa plane made an emergency landing on the island of Rhodes yesterday due to internal smoke.

The airliner, flying from Frankfurt to Dubai, landed at six o’clock in the evening. This is an Airbus 330 with 190 passengers on board. How reports newsbeast.gr edition, the captain of the plane first requested permission to land at the Turkish airport of Dalaman, but a few minutes later asked the control tower for permission to land at Diagoras airport in Rhodes.

After receiving information about smoke inside the aircraft, in its rear part, the airport fire service and the Rhodes fire service were mobilized.

According to the publication, all passengers are healthy, there is no risk, but for safety reasons all measures required by international rules are observed. For this reason, the aircraft will remain at Rhodes airport until a thorough check by specialists is completed, who will decide to continue the flight.
