The US is putting a price on the head of Predator creator T. Dilian and everyone associated with Intellexa SA. A few days ago, the US government announced sanctions against the founder of the spyware company Intellexa, Tal Dilian, and his partner, Sara Alexandra Faissal Hamou.
In announcing the sanctions, U.S. Treasury officials accused Dilian and Hama of developing and selling spyware that was then used to attacks on US citizens, including government officials, as well as politicians and journalists, allowing human rights violations around the world.
The move was the first of its kind.
Until now, the US government has targeted spyware companies, but not the owners of those companies, by blacklisting them and imposing sanctions that prevent American citizens or companies from funding or doing business with them.
But from this moment everything changes.
If the US government believes that someone has sold spyware to dictators and authoritarian regimes or that spyware has been used not intended, it will go directly to those who run these companies.
Of course, the Americans intend to deal with Predator spyware agents Felix Bigios and Yiannis Lavranos, who, along with T. Dilian, did not even bother to testify before the House Committee on Institutions and Transparency.
It is also worth noting that until unknown hackers (probably from Russia or China) broke into the main computers of Intellexa, which created the largest global private network for monitoring and intercepting all types of communications (voice, data, applications, etc.) , The US Treasury Department was not particularly interested in this problem, since the United States itself is actively involved in this.
