A well-known food rating site has published a list of coffee drinks that received the highest ratings from the public.
The list of the “Atlas of Tastes” will anger neighboring Italy a lot, because the famous Italian cappuccino coffee is below the Freddo “invented” by the Greeks. At the top of the list is Cuban espresso.
Café Cubano (also known as Cuban espresso, Cuban coffee, cafecito, and Cuban shot) is a variety of espresso that originated in Cuba. Specifically, it refers to a sweet-flavored Scottish shot of espresso (traditionally with natural brown sugar, which is whisked into the first and strongest drops of espresso). The name is sometimes used to refer to coffee-based drinks that contain Cuban espresso as the main ingredient, such as café con leche.
Drinking café cubano remains an important social and cultural activity in Cuba and in Cuban-American communities, especially in Miami, Tampa and the Florida Keys.
Let us remind you that the final list is formed/based on a purely personal assessment of Internet users of any national dish or drink. At the same time, the survey results go through a number of mechanisms that recognize real users and ignore bots, nationalists or patriots, and also give additional value to the ratings of users whom the system considers “informed”.
The most popular coffee in Greece seems to be very popular in other countries as the Freddo Espresso takes third place, with the Freddo Cappuccino following closely behind. At the same time, frappe coffee is in ninth place in the top ten of the Taste Atlas rating.
