“Tourism for everyone.” These are the criteria for beneficiaries: who will receive 200, 300 and 400 euros

Only a few days left until the platform opens “Tourism for everyone”which is expected to premiere in mid-March.

The delay in opening the platform is due to technical reasons that have nothing to do with the Ministry of Tourism, the competent minister Olga Kefalogianni said in a recent interview.

“Tourism for all”: criteria for beneficiaries

The program aimed at increasing the demand for domestic tourism for 2024, with a total budget of 25,694,539.89 euros and validity until 31.12.2024, has new features and expanded social criteria:

• increasing the income criterion for everyone by 3,000 euros compared to 2022-2023,
• increase in the amount in the general category from 150 euros to 200 euros for everyone,
• the introduction of new categories of special social groups that will receive a benefit of 300 euros: pensioners of all funds, married or cohabiting couples with three or more children, unmarried and widows with dependent children,
• doubling the subsidy for citizens with disabilities or those with disabled children from 200 to 400 euros.

Detailed information about the amounts provided by the program

As indicated in the relevant ISS, within the framework of the program, after submitting an online application and being selected by lottery, financial assistance is provided in the following amounts:

• An amount of two hundred (200) euros individuals who meet income criteria.
• An amount of three hundred (300) euros to individuals meeting the eligibility criteria:
  1. unmarried or widowed persons with dependent children, based on the latest updated personal income statement for 2022 at the time of filing the application,
  2. married or cohabiting with three or more dependent children, based on the most recently cleared 2022 personal income tax return filed at the time of application.

It should be noted that the presence of the above number of children can be used once to receive an additional payment.

Pensioners of all funds who have a final decision on the award of an old-age pension before 12/31/2022, who meet the conditions set out in Article 2.

An amount of four hundred (400) eurosespecially for persons with disabilities who have a valid decision with an overall disability level of 67% or more at the time of filing the application, as well as for involved beneficiaries who have disabled children and a valid decision with an overall disability level of 67% or more at the time of application, in accordance with the procedure described in Article 5.

Note that the status of a disabled person can be invoked once: either by the disabled person submitting the application, or by the applicant with a disabled child who meets the conditions set out in Article 2.

In the event that a beneficiary qualifies for more than one of the above categories, their application will be placed in the category with the maximum grant amount. The above amounts apply only to the beneficiary and do not increase in the case of dependents.
