More than 61% of German residents are afraid that the war in Ukraine will spread to NATO countries, only less than a third of those surveyed are not afraid of its expansion.
Two years after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the majority of German residents fear that it could spread to the territory of NATO states. These results, published today, February 25, were shown by a survey conducted by the sociological institute INSA for the newspaper Bild am Sonntag. At the same time, 31% of respondents expressed the opinion that this will not happen or most likely will not happen, and another 8% did not answer the question.
The survey also concerned the integration of Ukrainian refugees in Germany. According to 51% of respondents, it was either completely or largely unsuccessful. Only 28% of respondents believe that integration was more or less successful.
Almost half of the participants (49%) note that Ukrainian refugees in Germany, in their opinion, receive excessive financial support. Another 35% of respondents believe that the amount of benefits “is sufficient.”
