Pertuli… small and picturesque
Mountain Pertuli is located in a wooded area. You can’t help but fall in love with the village from the moment you set foot on its territory. And the hospitable residents will welcome you with all the breadth of their souls. Streams and green meadows complement the beautiful landscape of Trikala Prefecture. You will find all this at an altitude of 1100 meters, on the slopes of Koziakas. That is, where the traditional settlement of Pertuli is located.

It can be considered a winter destination, but we advise you to try visiting it in the fall. Because it is not so cold, because you will see the colors of nature in bloom, because you will not need chains for your car and because you will wholeheartedly enjoy walking along the beautiful golden yellow paths created by the fallen leaves. Of course, winter has another grace: the landscape turns white, but for us, autumn in the Greek sister villages of Trikala is something special.

If you find yourself in Pertouli, don’t miss visiting the intricately carved Gria stone bridge located in the Mana Gorge. This, of course, requires good physical preparation and a good attitude towards mountaineering. If you don’t have these two things, no problem, walking through the stone village with old mansions will delight you.

Elati
Pertuli’s alter ego is like a puzzle piece that gives you a complete travel experience located just below the mountainous Pertuli. They say that the Alps and Elati are all one and the same. And it’s not a joke. Elati is a village located among dense fir trees, the like of which is not easy to find. To admire the village, you need to climb to a height of 950 meters. And that says a lot. Here you will find beautiful mountain meadows, forests hiding secrets, and stone mansions with tiled roofs. If you’re lucky, a deer may pass you by on the hiking trail. It is then that you realize that you have become one with nature.

Elati, however, is not only an ideal destination for nature lovers, but also a paradise for gourmets. If you’re missing delicious traditional food, consider yourself looking for somewhere to go for the next three days. And if you are wondering what they serve there, then imagine the following: from fried lamb and game to handmade pasta, pies with homemade dough, kontosuvli, kokoretsi, sausages and a variety of fragrant cheeses. Everything is prepared and served in traditional style. And of course, dishes are always accompanied by good wine or tsipouro.
