Government desperate to change political agenda following passage of LGBTQ+ bill

After the adoption of the law according to which minor children may be given to LGBTQ+the government, wanting to avoid “obstacles” from the 52 ND deputies who voted against or abstained, wants to urgently change the political agenda so as not to “feed” the collective unconscious indignation of its voters.

For this reason, they will immediately shift their attention to passing the next two bills that have a positive impact on society, namely non-state universities and tightening of the Criminal Code.

The law on the creation of non-state, non-profit universities is already at the stage of public consultation, which will end tomorrow, which means that the bill will pass through parliamentary committees before being presented in plenary session. Next Wednesday parliament will vote on the Ministry of Justice bill on changes to the criminal code. It aims to speed up the justice system, as well as toughen penalties for many crimes.

The Greek government, like any other government, is well aware of how mass psychology works. When something negative continues to be in the news for a long time, it becomes a solid reality. But the government is making a big mistake.

These two bills are positive*, but in essence they consolidate what should have been in place decades ago for the smooth functioning of Greek society and increasing its ability to produce wealth. Against, the bill they passed the day before yesterdayis not only not self-evident, not only absurd, but the majority of Greek society opposed it.

This is the first time that a government has passed a bill out of the blue, even though it knew from opinion polls that the public that elected it was against it.

D. Keridis: “Adopting LGBT minors is the path to victory over Russia”

At the same time, attempts by the Minister of Immigration and Asylum Dimitris Keridis explainWhat adoption of minor children by LGBTQ+ couples It has geostrategic importance in the conflict between the West and Russia, caused confusion in Greek society.

D. Keridis tried to justify this statement by blaming… Russia. “Even this has its significance in the geostrategic competition between the West, on the one hand, which accepts LGBT rights and is an open liberal society, and Russia, which fights these problems with fanaticism and through its systems, such as the Moscow Patriarchate, in confrontation with a more liberal reading of Orthodoxy”, – Keridis said on the Skai TV channel.

The minister emphasized in a statement that Greece has more “neoliberal view” to Orthodoxy than in Russia.

It is worth noting that the Greek Church declared its strong disagreement with this law. And, despite the rather sluggish position of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Jerome personally, she sent out a statement to all parishes in which she condemned this law, calling it contrary to Christianity.

It turns out that Dimitris Keridis has his own personal church? How else can we evaluate this statement?

We have already written more than once that in such cases it is better for some ministers to remain silent once again. And if the last time the most ridiculous statements were made by the “regular clown” Megaro Maximo Adonis Georgiadisnow Dimitris Keridis has decided to take on his role.

*A large number of students and teachers oppose the adoption of the law on private universities. One of the reasons is that many teachers, realizing that they will have to work harder and engage in real teaching instead of “fooling around,” had an extremely negative attitude towards this law and are actively involving students in the protests, promising them better grades and other preferences.

**Many Greek journalists are confident that behind the bill to legalize marriages and adoption of LGBT children, Mitsotakis, on the one hand, was promised certain preferences, and on the other, threatened with problems, making “an offer that he could not refuse.”
