The UP publication, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reported the destruction of the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the information.
By data publications, the sinking occurred as a result of a special operation by Ukrainian intelligence. By data publication “Krym.Realii”, the Russian large landing craft was destroyed in the area of the Crimean resort of Miskhor. Another ship was sent for rescue work, the report said.
Explosions were heard in Yalta, Miskhor, Alupka and Simeiz, reports Telegram channel Crimean Wind with reference to local residents. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the interception of six drones over the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, according to the Rybar channel, which is close to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian large landing craft is indeed hit, but the extent of its damage is unknown. The Telegram channel “Two Majors” claims that “the entire crew is alive.”
The website of the Russian Black Sea Fleet reports, writes UP, that Caesar Kunikov is a large landing ship of Project 775. Its length is 112.5 m, width is 15 m, draft is 3.7 m. It carries weapons: 2×2 57 -mm AK-725 gun mounts, 4×8 PU MANPADS, 2×30 122mm NURS A-215 “Grad-M” launchers. Crew: 87 people.
It is reported that the ship can be used for laying minefields. The BDK can also be used with various loading options: 150 landing troops and 10 T-55 tanks with a crew of 40 people; 12 PT-76 amphibious tanks with a crew of 36 people; a unit consisting of 3 tanks of the T-55 type with a crew of 12 people, 3 120-mm mortars, 3 combat vehicles of the 2G 27 type, 4 ZIL-130 vehicles, 4 GAZ-66 and one GAZ-69 passenger SUV. Landing personnel: 147 landing personnel. The ship is capable of transporting a cargo weighing 650 tons over a distance of 4,700 miles.
