Will there be "Russian Germans" fight with Russia? A "Russian Greeks"? Survey

A few days ago, there was information on German social networks that the Bundeswehr leadership asked officers to survey their soldiers, whose parents are from Russia or the soldiers themselves were born there, whether they are ready to fight the Russians? What about the Greeks – immigrants from the former USSR?

An interview on this topic was given to Athens News by one of the representatives of the above category – German with dual citizenship of Germany and Russiawho asked not to use his first and last name for fear of problems with the German authorities.

“Some of the soldiers have dual, Russian and German citizenship, some have only German. Their parents, in addition to German, also have Russian citizenship, unless they renounced it for some reason. However, neither who is not Kazakh, since Kazakhstan does not allow dual citizenship, and from there there were many “Russian Germans” who left for their historical homeland after 1990.

All these people need to be interviewed on how they will behave in the event of a military conflict between Russia and NATO. Will these people fight with the Russians, since they swore an oath to Germany, or will they refuse or ask them to be left aside from direct combat operations, for example, in auxiliary units. Or they will refuse the oath, which in fact is treason.

The French already had this experience during the German-French War of 1870-1871, when French soldiers, French citizens of German origin, mainly from the provinces of Alsace and Lorraine, were asked whether they were ready to fight against Germany. Some said they were ready and went to fight, some refused, saying that they were not ready… These were left in non-combatant units.

The topic is quite relevant, since 4 million immigrants from the countries of the former USSR, including from Russia, live in Germany. They have children and grandchildren, and they now have German passports, and often also Russian passports. And many of them still have relatives in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

What problems will these people have… Will they be ready to fight against Russia? It’s not that they are afraid of atomic weapons there, few people think about it, rather no one even thinks about it. Simply because there are relatives or loved ones there. But there are also those who will fight, who do not care about it.

Only the older generation, which was born and raised under the USSR, will think anything; the younger generation, most likely, will not think or doubt. After all, the German education system is structured in such a way that over 13 years of education – from kindergarten to graduation – to instill the idea that Germany is above all. Therefore, in the event of war, many young “Russian Germans” will go to fight with Russia without any doubt.

To clarify the issue, I will expand the topic a little. The German economic system was built largely by obtaining resources from Russia, then deep processing and further export of German products to other countries, the same Russia, China and other countries of the world.

With the outbreak of war with Ukraine, the introduction of sanctions and the undermining of the Nord Streams, which no one thinks about in Germany, the situation has changed dramatically. Obviously, if you think about who benefits from this, then it is not profitable for Russia to blow them up, what was the point of them spending trillions of rubles? Laying these pipes and then blowing them up is nonsense.

Blowing up these pipes was in the interests of the Americans and Ukrainians. The Ukrainians, interestingly, continue to pump gas to Europe despite the war. Moreover, they try their best to protect the place where it passes from any military action and possible sabotage.

For Americans, blowing up these pipes means undermining the economy of Germany, the locomotive of Europe, in order to leave only the US economy competitive. American gas now goes to local enterprises, where it is sold 4 times cheaper than in Germany.

The Americans, by blowing up the Nord Streams, essentially undermined the German economy – after that, the German economy is absolutely not competitive with prices for liquefied gas and fertilizers. And she starts to fall. Factories are closing, production is being transferred to other countries – the USA or China. Accordingly, mass layoffs began in Germany, laying off millions of people.

When there is no production, factories do not work, people are no longer needed, this is also obvious. These people become unnecessary, and they become ballast for those in power, since they all need to be fed, them and their families. You don’t need so many people to serve…

A couple of days ago an amazing interview came out in Switzerland, and it was republished in Germany, although with a very large reduction. The interview was given by 80-year-old Hasso Plattner, co-owner of Germany’s largest company producing accounting software (some kind of analogue of Russian 1C accounting). He said very scary things.

To understand the situation, I will tell you who this person is: he has a personal fortune of 11 billion euros and he lives in 2 countries – the USA and Germany.

The entire business of this company is built on the fact that they hired cheap employees in Russia and paid them, in European marks, penny programmer salaries. By Russian standards it was very good money, 2-4 thousand dollars. But in the USA or Germany he would have to pay these employees 3-5 times more, at least 10-12 thousand dollars per month. Therefore, these companies opened development centers in Russia, and the amazing education there in mathematics allowed the Russian Federation to have highly qualified programmers. And they made a lot of money from them. That is, the programs were developed in Russia, and the results were sold in Europe and other countries of the world.

Because of sanctions and counter-sanctions, this entire business died. They began laying off tens of thousands of people, resulting in huge losses. And what we get is no factories, no people needed. And the worst thing he said is that we now need to prepare for the fact that Putin will take over Ukraine, and after that he will give us a surprise. We have 500 million people in Europe, we are enough to repel a small and weak Russia.”

Verbatim quote: I have been a pacifist all my life. But now Germany must rearm. It must show itself ready to defend itself, like other NATO countries. Russian President Putin has something special in store for us once he solves his Ukrainian problem. And Trump, the possible new US president, wants to leave NATO and no longer wants to support Europe. I console myself with the fact that in Europe, that is, EU plus European NATO countries, home to more than 500 million people. We will be able to defend ourselves against this relatively small Russia.

In other words, there are 150 million of you, 500 million of us, if we hit each other, there were 150 of you, there will be 0, there will be 350 million of us left. He has enough for personal service. He has castles, palaces. And they really all think so. And such people lead Germany.

In fact, Germany is not led by Scholz, not by some politicians, this country is led by large corporations. It is corporations that run the entire Western world. And they don’t need a strong Russia. They need cheap resources that they can use at their own discretion.

Will “Russian Greeks” fight against Russia?

The question asked by the “Russian German” can also be asked in relation to the Pontic Greeks.

It is known that in Germany there are about 4 million immigrants from the former USSR, which is about 5% of the population, while in Greece, according to various estimates, about a million immigrants from the countries of the former USSR and members of their families live, which is about 10% of the country’s population . At the same time, many of them left Russian citizenship, and some received it again at the end of the 2000s, after the start of the debt crisis in Greece and the memoranda of the “troika” of creditors.

What should such people do if Greece begins real military operations against Russia? And in the event of a full-scale war between Russia and NATO, the Greeks with 100% probability will not be able to stay on the sidelines…

Our poll: if you have Greek citizenship, will you go to fight against Russia?

Votes from the Russian Federation will not be taken into account due to the specifics of the issue.
