The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied Russia’s statements about its mercenaries in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The French Foreign Ministry called on Thursday “gross manipulation” the statements of the Russian authorities about the destruction of a building in Kharkov with allegedly French mercenaries. quotes DW:
“France does not have mercenaries in Ukraine or anywhere else, unlike some. This does not deserve more attention than previous or future attempts at manipulation, which will certainly still occur.”
The French Ambassador to Moscow Pierre Levy was called at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, repeated the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense about the destruction in Kharkov of a “temporary deployment point for foreign fighters,” in whose ranks “there were several dozen Frenchmen.”
Let us remind you that on January 16, late in the evening, a missile strike was carried out on Kharkov. The head of the regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said that two missiles were fired, presumably from the S-300 air defense system. As a result, 17 civilians were injured and at least 19 residential buildings were damaged, Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkov, wrote on his Telegram channel.
