Interrupted flight – Istanbul-Athens plane returned to the parking lot

A passenger Boeing 777-300 of Turkish Airlines aborted takeoff and returned to the parking lot because of… a cat.

The incident occurred at Istanbul airport, tells DHA agency when Boeing was preparing to fly to Athens but was forced to abort takeoff. After the passengers boarded, the plane began to move onto the runway for takeoff. At this time, a cat escaped from the hand luggage of one of the passengers, which he illegally took on board, and began to walk around the cabin.

The aircraft crew reported the emergency situation to the pilot, who contacted the Istanbul Airport Air Traffic Control Center. He said he was returning to the parking lot.

Turkish Airlines intends to blacklist the passenger, as this is not the first time he has tried to smuggle his cat in this way.
