Russia fired a North Korean missile at Kharkov, Ukraine provided evidence (video)

By displaying missile fragments on Saturday, January 6, the prosecutor’s office of the Kharkov region of Ukraine provided additional evidence of a Russian attack using missiles supplied by North Korea.

How writes REUTERS, a senior adviser to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Friday that Russia struck Ukraine with North Korean missiles for the first time this week. Dmitry Chubenko, a representative of the prosecutor’s office, said that the missile one of severalwhich hit Kharkov on January 2, was visually and technically different from Russian models:

“The production method is not very modern. There are deviations from the standard Iskander missiles that we previously saw during the strikes on Kharkov. This missile is similar to one of the North Korean missiles.”

According to Chubenko, the missile is slightly larger in diameter than the Russian Iskander missile, but its nozzle, internal electrical windings and tail section are also different:

“We are therefore inclined to believe that this could be a missile supplied by North Korea.”

However, he refused to give the exact name of the rocket model. Let us remind you that January 2 Russia attacked Kharkov multiple missiles, killing two people and wounding more than 60 in one of the largest missile and drone strikes since the start of a large-scale war. During the massive strike, hits were recorded in residential areas of the city.

At 8:43, the head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said: “Around 07:30, the invaders struck the central part of the city of Kharkov, in particular in the Shevchenkovsky district. The type of missiles is being established. As of this minute, more than 20 casualties. One person died.”

North Korea has been under a UN arms embargo since it first tested a nuclear bomb in 2006. UN Security Council resolutions approved with Russian support prohibit countries from trading weapons and other military equipment with North Korea.
