The Ministry of Tourism reported that today a comprehensive decision was signed to implement the Tourism for All 2024 program.
In pursuance of the program agreement signed by the Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni on November 30, 2023 for the implementation of the “Tourism for All 2024” program, the corresponding a joint ministerial decision was signed today, 01/05/2024, by the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitrios Papastergiou, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikolaos Papathanasis, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Athanasios Petralias and the Deputy Minister of Tourism Elena Rapti.
The program implemented by the Ministry of Tourism and aimed at strengthening domestic tourism demand for 2024, with a total budget of 25,694,539.89 euros and validity until December 31, 2024, has new functions and expanded social criteria, such as:
- increasing the income criterion for everyone by 3,000 euros compared to 2022-2023,
- increase in the amount in the general category from 150 euros to 200 euros for everyone,
- creation of new categories of special social groups that will receive a grant of 300 euros: pensioners of all funds, married or
- persons living together with three or more children, single persons and widowers with dependent children,
- doubling the size of the subsidy for our fellow citizens with disabilities or disabled children from 200 euros to 400 euros.
In particular, within the framework of the program, after submitting the appropriate online application and selection through the lottery, the following financial opportunity is provided:
1. two hundred (200) euros to individuals meeting the income criteria,
2. three hundred (300) euros to individuals:
A) unmarried or widower with dependent children, based on the last permit when applying for the 2022 personal income tax return,
B) are married or are parties to a cohabitation agreement with three or more children. It is noted that reference to the presence of a specified number of children for You can receive an increased amount of assistance only once.
3. Pensioners of all funds with a final decision on the assignment of an old-age pension before 12/31/2022.
4. four hundred (400) euros specifically for persons with disabilities (67% or more at the time of application), as well as for parents with disabled children with a valid decision of a general disability degree of 67% or more at the time of application.
In the case of a beneficiary who meets the conditions of more than one of the above categories,The application belongs to the category with the maximum subsidy amount.The above amounts relate exclusively to the beneficiary and do not increase in the case of dependent members.
Income criteria for applicants
Potential beneficiaries are those who filed a final income tax return by the on-time filing deadline for the 2022 tax year.
It is expected that in the near future the Ministry of Tourism will announce dates for submitting applications for participation in the program.
