Unemployment in November was 9.4% according to ELSTAT

According to ELSTAT unemployment rate, taking into account seasonal fluctuations, amounted to 9.4% in November 2023 compared to 11.9% in November 2022, revised upward, and 9.4% in October 2023, revised downward.

According to ELSTAT:

• The number of employees was 4,161,930 peoplean increase of 12,025 people compared to November 2022 (0.3%) and a decrease of 87,722 people compared to October 2023 (-2.1%).
• The unemployed amounted to 429,806 peopledecreasing by 130,997 people compared to November 2022 (-23.4%) and by 12,156 people compared to October 2023 (-2.8%).
• Persons under the age of 75 who are not in the labor force, or “outside the labor force,” that is, persons not working or looking for work, made up 3,198,315 peoplewhich is an increase of 91,820 people compared to November 2022 (3.0%) and an increase of 97,602 people compared to October 2023 (3.1%).
