A fire broke out early in the morning of December 31 in a KTEL bus traveling on the Athens-Thessaloniki route.
All passengers were safely evacuated from the burning vehicle. After some time, they all continued their journey on another bus, which arrived at the scene to pick them up.
The incident occurred on the 304th kilometer of the Athens-Thessaloniki national road, on the border of the Magnesia prefecture. The fire was extinguished by the arriving fire brigade (eight people in 4 specialized vehicles). The commission will determine the cause of the fire.
