Opening hours of shops and transport from December 28 to January 7

In anticipation New Year Holiday store opening hours resume on Thursday 28 December.

There will be shops open from 09:00 to 21:00 on December 28-29, as well as on January 3-5 and from 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, December 30. On Sunday, December 31, stores will also be open from 11:00 to 18:00.

Stores will be closed on January 1 and 2, 2024. Opening hours will return to normal on January 3, but shops and supermarkets will be closed on Epiphany Day, January 6.

According to the holiday schedule, public transport, metro and trams will operate in Athens, until Epiphany on January 6, when they operate with fewer flights.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, public transport will stop operating at 23:00, and the reduced schedule will continue on January 5, 2024.
