US Ambassador George Tsunis celebrated his birthday with a visit to Archbishop Jerome

US Ambassador to Athens George Tsunis celebrated his birthday on December 26 with a special visit to Archbishop II Jerome of Athens, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Eleni Tsunis.

The head of the Greek Orthodox Church warmly welcomed Ambassador Tsunis, taking the opportunity to warmly congratulate him on his birthday. The distinguished guests, accompanied by Archbishop Jerome, visited the gerontological center “Agios Porphyrios” in Dilesi Boeotia in central Greece. This center, founded by Archbishop Jerome, provides care services for the elderly.

The American Ambassador and Archbishop Jerome toured the gerontological center, becoming familiar with the facilities and services offered to older people in the community. The meeting concluded with a meal hosted by Archbishop Jerome in honor of Ambassador Tsunis and his mother at the residence adjacent to the gerontological center.

It is worth noting that Ambassador Tsunis spent the Christmas holidays in his hometown, the village of Platanos, located in the regional unit of Aitoloakarnania on the Greek mainland.
