Stop the persecution of the Orthodox: the call of Greek Christians

Greek Christians appealed to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Jerome with a request to stop the persecution of Orthodox Christians in Ukraine.

The appeal was drawn up by lawyer Hatziantoniou Ioann, who, together with the president of the society of diplomats of Soviet universities, Panayiot Xanthopoulos, presented it to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Jerome.

STOP THIS! PERSECUTION OF THE ORTHODOX IN UKRAINE!

This year, Christmas is celebrated for the second year in a row and with sadness for Orthodox Christians due to the ongoing fratricidal conflict in Ukraine. Our brothers in common faith, Ukrainians and Russians, continue to kill each other by the thousands in a conflict that is being unreasonably prolonged. The great Western powers are adding fuel to the fire in the interests of the military-industrial complex, in the interests of geopolitics, and are implementing plans that have nothing to do with the people.

Our brothers and sisters from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine are experiencing an even greater drama. Adding to the suffering of the war is open persecution by the Kyiv government. Clergy, monks and believers are forcibly expelled from churches, cathedrals, holy monasteries. They are persecuted, imprisoned, and often killed.

The Kiev Pechersk Lavra, revered by all Orthodox Christians for a thousand years, is besieged by the Ukrainian authorities and fascist thugs who have nothing to do with Christianity. The abbot was deprived of his freedom, and the monks living there were deprived of food.

In this situation, unfortunately, there is a share of responsibility of our Hierarchy and the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Istanbul. The controversial granting of autocephaly to schismatics and their recognition did not bring either unity or reconciliation among the Orthodox of long-suffering Ukraine. On the contrary, this is an alibi and “argument” for the Kyiv regime and the extremists there for the persecution of the canonical Church, which is becoming increasingly cruel.

The worst thing is that our church and political leaders, the largest Orthodox country in the European Union, are silent. No calls to stop persecution from the former, no interference in violation of religious freedom from the latter, who even send weapons to Kyiv.

Injustice rises to the skies! “Peace on earth, goodwill towards people”we all say these days. “Glory to God Almighty” anyway, but let’s remember our persecuted brothers and sisters this Christmas. Let’s light a prayer candle for them. Let us ask the church and political leaders of our country to call for an end to persecution, which is the self-evident duty of every Christian who does not show himself to be a hypocrite, of every person who does not show himself to be heartless. “Christ on earth, be exalted!”

ΝΑ ΣΤΑΜΑΤΗΣΟΥΝ Ο! ΔΙΩΞΕΙΣ ΤΩΝ ΟΡΘΟΔΟΞΩΝ ΣΤΗΝ ΟΥΚΡΑΝΙΑ!

Τα Χριστούγεννα φέτος για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά γιορτάζονται και με θ λίψη για τους Ορθόδοξους Χριστιανούς, λόγω της συνεχιζόμενης αδελφοκτ όνας σύγκρουσης

στην Ουκρανία. Οι αδελφοί μας στο Κοινό Ποτήριο, Ουκρανοί και Ρώσοι, συνεχίζουν να σκο τώνονται κατά χιλιάδες σε μια σύγκρουση που παρατείνεται αδικαιολόγητα.

Οι μεγάλες δυνάμεις της Δύσης ρίχνουν λάδι στη φωτιά προκειμένου να επωφεληθούν μερικές πολεμικές Beta κά συμφέροντα και να υλοποιηθούν σχεδιασμοί που καμιά σχέση δεν έχουν μουν ε τους λαούς.

Μεγαλύτερο δράμα ζουν οι αδελφοί μας Ορθόδοξοι της Εκκλησίας της Ουκρα νίας. Στα δεινά του πολέμου προστίθενται και ανοιχτές διώξεις από την κυβέρν ηση του Κιέβου. Κληρικοί, Μοναχοί και πιστοί εκδιώκονται βιαίως από Ναούς, ακόμα και Καθεδ ρικούς, Ιερές Μονές. Διώκονται, φυλακίζονται, όχι σπάνια δολοφονούνται.

Η Λαύρα των Σπηλαίων του Κιέβου, σέβασμα όλων των Ορθοδόξων εδώ και χίλι α χρόνια, πολιορκείται από τις ουκρανικές αρχές και φασίστες τραμπούκους άσχετους με τον Χριστιανισμό. 0 ?? ς.

Για την κατάσταση αυτή δυστυχώς υπάρχει μερίδιο ευθύνης της μας ιεραρχίας και του οουμενιατιαlace μ μας σirst ωνσταντινούπολη. ? ? λύπαθης Ουκρανίας. “επιχείρημα” ? κληρότερος.

Το χειρότερο είναι ότι οι εκκλησιαστικοί και πολιτικοί ταγοί μας, της μεγαλύτερης Ορθόδοξης χώρας στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, σιωπούν. Καμία έκκληση να σταματήσουν οι διωγμοί από τους πρώτους , καμία παρέμβασ η για την καταπάτηση της θρησκευτικής ελευθερίας από τους δεύτερους, πο υ στέλνουν μάλιστα όπλα στο Κίεβο.

Η αδικία υψώνεται ως τον Ουρανό ! “Επι γής ειρήνη, εν ανθρώποις ευδοκία” λέμε όλοι αυτές τις μέρες. “Δόξα εν Υγιστοις Θεώ” σε κάθε περίπτωση, αλλά ας θυμηθούμε αυτά τα Χριστ ούγεννα τους διωκόμενους αδελφούς μας. Ας ανάψουμε ένα κερί δέησης γι αυτούς. ????? μας να ζητήσουν την παύση των διώξεων κάτι που αποτελεί αυτονόητο καθήκ ον κάθε Χριστιανού που δεν αυτό αποκαλύπτεται ως υποκριτής , κάθε ανθρώπο υ που δεν αποδεικνύεται άκαρδος.
