Workers are increasingly looking for positions that allow them to balance work and personal life.
The technology and healthcare industries dominate Payscale’s latest list, with large numbers of workers saying they want to leave their jobs within 6 months. The majority, or 66%, of product managers said they plan to find a new job, even though their average annual salary is $144,000 (in the US).
Occupations with the highest layoff rates:
- Senior Product Manager
- Blood Transfusion Nurses
- Cook
- Patient care staff
- Intensive care unit nurses
- Patient Service Representative
- Cyber Security Analyst
- Welder
- Forklift operator
- IT manager
- Specialized nurses (for severe work conditions)
- Salesman
- Senior Software Development Engineer
- Data Analyst
- Patient Care Coordinator.
Many workers say they’re quitting due to a combination of an uncertain economy, demands to return to the office after a period of remote work and a stressful work environment, Payscale’s Lexi Clark explains to CNBC. Most of them, they say, are looking for better conditions and more security.
