The incredible cynicism of a 71-year-old killer: “One less woman on earth”

The murder case in Salamis, the sixth in Greece this year, in which a 71-year-old man killed his 43-year-old partner in cold blood, is alarming. After his act, the killer calmly went to drink coffee.

The woman who “led” police authorities to the identification of the gunman who killed his partner in Salamis speaks exclusively about what happened.

“He hits – it means he loves”

“They met about 6 years ago. At that time he worked as a driver. They met, fell in love and got along very well at first. Then, after about 6 months, quarrels, nerves, discontent and fights began. Sometimes she would come to school wearing sunglasses and with broken lips. Especially in the summer, bruises were often visible on her arms. She said: “I was hit here, I was hit there.” She hid her pain very well. She constantly hid it, saying: “It’s okay, he loves me.” “He checked her every step of the way. And so the statement that he killed her because she cheated on him seems strange to us.”

“One less person on earth”

The woman then talked about how calm the man was when she called him and asked about the murder.

“That day I heard the news that he killed her and called him. I asked: “What did you do?” and he answered: “What did I do, what’s going on?” He was so calm and said: “ Why should I be upset? Well, that’s one less person on earth. I asked, “What did you say?” and he replied, “Calm down,” and hung up. Then he called me and said: “What are they saying about me?” I said, “Don’t you care that the woman is dead?” And he replied: “What do you want me to do? Is there evidence that it was me?” I ask: “Where are you now?” And he says that it’s nearby, in a cafe. I call the police and tell them about the conversation. On the way, until I reach the police station, I call him again, because according to the instructions, the cops were supposed to stop him on the road. He told me that he was under the bridge… He said: “For her I can go to the dirt and prison, anywhere.” The car was hidden under a tunnel. He was eventually caught by other police officers.”

“He acted like nothing happened”

The owner of the cafe where the man went after the murder of his partner in Salamis exclusively says: “I didn’t see anything bad” in what happened.

“I know them because they came for coffee. I never saw her beaten. I used to talk to him. We thought they had a good relationship. He came around 7:15 and left around 11:00. He spoke normally.” as if nothing had happened. I asked him how K… was doing and he said, “She’s fine.” He said she was with her mother. As for the guy they say he hit, then I never saw him hit him. Never.”
