Dogs tore to pieces a 50-year-old mother of two children in the yard of her house (video)

On December 10 at noon, a shocking incident occurred in the Neochorunda area of ​​Thessaloniki: three dogs escaped from the supervision of their owner, ran into a neighboring yard and killed a 50-year-old woman.

The unfortunate mother of two children died from her injuries almost instantly. The dog owner, who lived next door, has been arrested and says he is shocked. The 37-year-old is expected to describe the events from his point of view. Christos Saramurtsidis, president of the local Neochoruda community, says:

“What happened is a tragedy and we are all shocked. This woman was a mother of two children, dear to everyone, a very active person. We can’t believe this happened. Today she worked on the yard, mowed the grass, and had a maintenance crew. At some point, she went out to throw out the trash and was attacked by dogs from a neighboring house. We don’t know if they jumped over the fence or found the gate open. In any case, they were ferocious dogs, they barked a lot, and in general the neighbors were afraid of them. As far as I know, they are half-breeds.”

The unfortunate woman died instantly from her injuries. An ambulance was called to the scene, but they did not take her because the woman had already died.

Police arrested the dogs’ owner, who is expected to testify at the Oraokastro police station. The Greek police have taken over the investigation into the woman’s terrible death.

Her cousin said the dogs had chewed through her femoral artery and caused uncontrollable bleeding. From that moment on, her death was inevitable. He emphasizes: “I don’t know how this accident happened. The dogs ran out from a neighboring yard, burst into my cousin’s yard and bit her. As I found out, they bit her in the femoral artery, and she did not survive. I don’t know what kind of dogs they are, but I still can’t believe it.”
