The government’s plan to combat inflation and to help socially vulnerable citizens extends the Family Basket initiative until June 30, 2024, according to the draft law of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Also, according to this bill (in provisions related to issues of the Ministry of Development), the validity of paragraph 1 of Article 54 of Law 5045/2023 (A’136) is extended until June 2024 (relates to the fight against “unfair trade, overpricing and speculation.”
In particular, until June 30, 2024, according to the bill, It is prohibited to receive gross profit from the sale of any products or provision of any services necessary for health, nutrition, accommodation, movement, heating, drinking water, as well as from the sale of school supplies, agricultural products and food products, in particular, raw materials for the production of fertilizers, animal feed, grain – raw materials of all types, flour, sunflower oil.
