A famous rapper who was part of a gang was arrested "cleaned out" ATMs

Authorities have arrested three people, including famous Greek rapper Don Leon, as members of a gang that has been raiding ATMs across Greece.

According to information, the Greek police managed to eliminate a gang that “robbed” 10 ATMs, taking with them 710,000 euros.
In addition to the famous singer, the gang that committed thefts from ATMs included two more people.

The professionalism and observation of the competent police officers who conducted this case made it possible to identify three members of the organization, aged 26, 27 and 28, who stole cars and with their help went to the provincial regions of Greece, where, using grinders or planting explosives, hacked ATMs to take away the money they contained.

The investigation has so far identified 10 cases of ATM explosions in Evia, Boeotia, Messinia, Ilia, Achaia, Preveza and Aitoloakarnania, as well as 7 cases of vehicle thefts. Three gang members were arrested in Camatero, having previously broken into an ATM in Ermioni, from where they stole 198,515 euros.

All members of the criminal organization led an outrageously luxurious life, which they demonstrated at every opportunity, both in everyday interactions and on social networks, and laundered their illegal income by spending huge sums through the music industry or by betting in casinos.

To approach the “object” and escape from the crime scene, they used cars (preferring large and powerful cars)stolen by them from the surrounding areas. After hacking, they gained access to cash safes, which took away the entire amount or only the amount of money that was contained in them, which took them less than 1 minute. So as not to leave any evidencethey wore white work uniforms with hoods and burned their vehicles after use.

The criminals were spotted by police trying to enter their base, which was located in a garage, and arrested, and during a personal search, search of cars and houses, the following were found and confiscated:

• 206,570 euros in 20 and 50 euro notes,
• 1 kilogram and 518 grams of explosives,
• M16 assault rifle,
• gun,
• cartridges,
• 4- detonator,
• fuse,
• equipment for dismantling cars and ATMs,
• grinder for cutting metal,
• burglary tools, spray paint,
• clothes, lights,
• Cell phones
• car keys.

At the same time, during the investigation, a relative of one of the criminals was arrested for violating the weapons law, since 5 pistols and many cartridges were found and seized in his house, which was often visited by the criminal.

Those arrested have been brought to the competent prosecutor’s office, and the investigation continues to fully disclose their criminal activities and discover other cases in which they may be involved.

It is worth noting that the 28-year-old rapper was arrested in 2021 for participating in a gang that committed ATM thefts and was released from prison in January 2023.
