Although winter has officially arrived today, the weather in Greece over the weekend will resemble spring, with sunshine and warm temperatures in most parts of the country.
According to the meteorologist OPEN Clearhos Marousakis, the weather at the beginning of December will not at all resemble December. And only in some areas – mainly in the south-east Aegean Sea and Western Greece – may it rain locally. The thermometer will show temperatures of 22-24°C in central Greece.
According to the meteorologist, “Sunny weather with some clouds is expected in Attica. The wind is southerly, moderate, and in places of strong intensity, while the air temperature rises to +23°C. Sunny weather with rare clouds is expected in Thessaloniki. Wind around 6 on the Beaufort scale. Air temperature 20-22°C.”
The forecaster explained that a warmer air mass will arrive from northern Africa over the weekend, bringing with it “African dust.” Temperatures will rise further until Sunday. However a new wave of bad weather is just around the corner, as from the second half of Sunday 03/12 a sharp change in weather is expected, which will last until Tuesday 05/12. Temperatures will drop significantly in most parts of the country.
