Israel and Hamas are close to extending an agreement to continue the ceasefire and exchange of hostages, Reuters reported today, citing Egyptian security sources.
In particular, according to the agency, all parties are currently trying to resolve differences over the deadline for extending the agreement and the list of Palestinian prisoners whom Israel must release in exchange for the release of Hamas hostages.
Today is the last day of the existing agreement between Israel and Hamas, which provides for the exchange of 50 hostages for 150 Palestinian prisoners, a ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
