Ceasefire in Gaza on Friday morning

At a press conference in Doha, a Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the ceasefire in Gaza would begin on Friday, November 24, at 7:00 am, and the first release of 13 hostages would occur a few hours later, at 16:00.

It is reported that a list of names of hostages to be released by Hamas has already been delivered.

The spokesman also said that he expects the start of humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza through the Rafah crossing immediately after the start of the truce.

The start of an agreed ceasefire was confirmed by the Palestinian Islamist organization that governs the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is estimated to have taken at least 240 Israeli hostages during the October 7 attack on Israel. The deal, brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the United States between Israel and Hamas, calls for the return of 50 Israeli hostages in exchange for a four-day cessation of hostilities and the release of 150 Palestinians.

Israel has at its disposal the “first list of names”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced today that it has a “first list of names” of hostages and is in contact with their families as a ceasefire with Hamas and the first wave of releases begin tomorrow.

“Israel confirms that it has received the first list of names. Officials are verifying the details of the list and are in contact with all families,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. The statement does not specify whether we are talking about all the hostages, all the people who will be released, or the first hostages who will be released tomorrow.

Let us recall that Benjamin Netanyahu previously said that he hopes for the release of hostages held by Hamas, noting that there are many problems in achieving this goal.

“We hope for the release of the hostages, there are many problems for this,” the Israeli prime minister said during a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who is visiting Israel.

“We hope to release the first group, and after that we intend to release them all,” Netanyahu added.

Death toll as a result attacks Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7 reached 14,854 people, the Gaza government press service reported.

According to the report, among the victims of the attacks were more than 6,150 children and 4 thousand women.

The number of wounded exceeded 36 thousand, 75 percent of them were children and women.

Over 7 thousand people are listed as missing, including those remaining under the rubble. More than 4,700 of them are women and children.
